The Re-Use It Centre is a vital part of the WCSS and the greater community by largely supporting all social services through circular economy and waste diversion program. The Re-Use It Centre Ambassador role is includes receiving, sorting, and selling of donations to generate funds to support WCSS community programs, facilitate circular economy, and divert waste from landfill. The Re-Use It Centre Ambassador must be aware that they are a representative of WCSS and our organizations values. This individual ought to share an enthusiasm for supporting our community and have a passion for waste diversion.
The Director of Operations ensures that the WCSS operations run smoothly and efficiently using best practices in facilities maintenance and team leadership to create a safe, collaborative, and engaging culture. With a passion for social enterprise, waste diversion and people, in collaboration with the Executive Director and leadership team, this position assists in providing strategic direction to best support the organization and the community we serve.

The Re-Build It Centre (RBI) Team Members role is to receive, process and sell donations, facilitate the Whistler Tool Lending Library, and operate a cash register. The RBI Team Member drives our cube truck throughout Whistler collecting and delivering furniture as well as operating our refundable bottle collection program. The RBI Team Member engages with our customers, has a passion for waste diversion and is an advocate for a positive and safe environment for everyone.

As the Finance Administrator at WCSS, you will work with the Director of Operations, Finance Manager, Office Manager, and administrative team to promote the organization, efficiency, and administration of finance, accounting, payroll, and human resources issues.
The RBI Manager is responsible to organize, plan and direct the donations which generate funds to support WCSS community programs, facilitate the circular economy, and divert waste from landfills. The RBI Manager motivates and leads the team members to provide excellent customer service and waste diversion best practices. This position is also responsible for overseeing the Tool Lending Library and Bottle Refundable programming at WCSS. The RBI Manager is a representative of WCSS and the organization’s values.
Food Bank Worker & Food Recovery Driver– Full Time 32-hours/week.
With a passion for food recovery, community service and love of food, the Food Bank Worker & Food Recovery Driver’s role is to drive the food bank vehicle to do food recovery pickups, set up & tear down food bank, support volunteers and carry out day to day tasks of various food programs in collaboration with the other Food Bank Support Worker and Food Programming and Community Development Manager.

As the Food Security Farmer’s Market pick up employee you will be the face of WCSS at the Farmer’s Market. You will be on the ground engaging vendors and accepting donated produce and delivering to Food Bank. Using your passion for food and food security, you will handle, store and pack food donations, provide receipts for value of donation and report donation data to the Food Security Programs Manager.

As the Farmer’s Market Food Recovery Worker at WCSS, you will assist with recovering food at the Whistler Farmers Market on Sundays, issuing receipts to vendors, sorting and storing produce to be distributed at the Food Bank.
