Over the years Whistler Community Services Society (WCSS) has been the benefactor of generosity from Whistler’s community, government, and corporate citizens.  With that support WCSS can deliver programs and services that support community members in the areas of food security, mental health and wellness, and financial wellness. Throughout the pandemic, the housing crisis, and increased inflation our community has come together to support residents who continue to find themselves in precarious health and wellbeing situations.  This includes our Outreach Services.

With over 8,000 client visits to Outreach Services programs in the 2022-23 fiscal year, demand remains high and there is no slowdown of that demand in sight.  As this need for assistance with emotional, mental, and financial health remains high, WCSS is reaching out to the community in their annual TOGETHER Outreach campaign, running now through November 10th, to help us raise $75,000 in support of ongoing and uninterrupted delivery of essential support for programming.

“Society best operates in a reciprocal pattern. That is to say that when we support one person, we support the community, and vice-versa” says Jackie Dickinson, Executive Director at Whistler Community Services Society”.  Our collective mental health has never been more important, more in peril, nor more easy to support than it is today.  Every dollar we raise through this annual call to the community is directed right back into programming that supports the community mental health for youth, family units, workforce, seniors, individuals, corporations and businesses, and our health care system. The pandemic showed us that we are better when we support one another and have a TOGETHER approach to community. Our ask is that we keep that going and that everyone who can, please donate to help us raise $75,000” Donations can be made online using a credit card, via the donation of stocks or securities, or by cheque mailed to the WCSS offices.  Please visit www.mywcss.org/fundraiser for more information.
