Whistler Community Services Society is grateful to be one of many recipients of funding this year through the Whistler Health Care Foundation. Funding this year will support Emergency Cold Weather Shelter activations along with a new imitative supporting Whistler’s aging population in our Seniors Navigator online publication.
Over $104,000 in funding for health-care initiatives was made possible by the generous support of the Goudge Family Foundation and Touchet Family Foundation. This generosity allowed the WHCF to double this years funding. We received a record number of applications from a wide variety of local non-profit groups and we are thrilled to support the amazing work being done to better the health and wellbeing of our community.
The successful health care projects include mental health services and training, bereavement support programs, first aid training and equipment, sexual health services and training, state-of-the-art medical equipment, emergency shelter services and seniors’ health resources.
