Join us for a collection of FREE workshops through the month of February focused on youth mental health facilitated by Kelsey Schreiner (She/Her) MC, RCC, Youth & Young Adult Clinician Whistler/Pemberton MHSU. Connect with other caregivers and and learn about youth mental health!
WCSS will be hosting THREE sessions, registration is open and required for all three sessions. If you are attending all three, please register for all three. You are welcome to attend one or all!
Session 1: Feb 7
Understanding Mental Health and Diagnosis: Psychoeducation around common mental health concerns and diagnosis seen in youth today.
Session 2: Feb 14
Emotion Focused Communication: Communication skills to meet youth where they are at, find common language, validate their feelings, and stay curious.
Session 3: Feb 21
Building Effective Coping Skills: Help foster effective coping skills and expand youths engagement in healthy crisis management.
WHO: For caregivers of teens/pre-teens – a parent, caregiver, teacher, youth worker, grand-parent, or those supporting teens in the community
WHEN: 5:30pm – 6:30pm
