Food Bank

Whistler’s Food Bank provides an essential service for a range of people based in the Sea to Sky corridor.

Who is it for?

It is for anyone and everyone trying to make ends meet. Supplemental groceries are available to ensure individuals don’t have to lower the quality or quantity of food they are eating. There are many different reasons to access the food bank: high cost of living, low income, injury, illness, and/or precarious work conditions, and many more.

What We Offer

  • Food Assistance: Whistler Food Bank is here to provide assistance with supplemental groceries during challenging times. We offer enough groceries to supplement 2-3 days’ worth of meals over the span of a two-week period. The Whistler food bank offers a shopping model with limits per item during drop-in hours of service. Selection of groceries may vary depending on donations.  The selection of food changes weekly and includes staples such as fresh fruits, vegetables, grains, canned beans, canned fish, pasta, pasta sauce, cereal/oatmeal, and flour.
  • Health Assistance: Baby Formula, Diapers, menstrual care products, and harm-reduction kits
  • More than food: food skills training and/or help with making a long-term plan to become self-sufficient through WCSS Outreach Services (ie: help with taxes, EI applications, financial subsidies, and mental health resources).
