Healthy Choices

Who is it for?

Healthy Choices is a program set to work with youth in the s2s corridor and is predominately offered in the school setting including Myrtle Philip Community School, Spring Creek Community School, Ecole La Passerelle, Whistler Secondary School, Whistler Waldorf School and Pemberton Secondary School. Some topics which can be covered (but not limited to) are self-care, nutrition, stress & anxiety, substance use, mental health, sexuality, healthy boundaries, and self-care strategies. WCSS works with schools to talk with youth, teachers, and their caregivers about these topics.

Date & TIMES

Program is available year-round. In school hours include Monday through Thursday from 9am-5pm as well as some additional community events

What does this program offer?

  • This program provides schools and community-based youth, staff and families in the Sea-to-Sky corridor with prevention-based educational programming.
  • Sessions are age-appropriate and include topics such as mental health and wellness, substance use, self-harm and suicide, nutrition, gender and sexuality, sleep hygiene, and healthy relationships.
