Grief and Loss Support

Who is it for?

Any community member who is grieving a loss and hoping to connect with other community members who are on a similar journey. The group is a space to explore your own grief and hear stories from others about their journey through loss.

Date & TIMES

We have two groups that run several times a year, a Drop-in Conversation Group and a Walking Group. All are welcome, no registration is necessary for either group.
  • Drop in Conversations at Whistler Public Library – Next session will begin Fall/Winter 2026 — keep an eye on this space or through our Instagram/Facebook pages for updates.
  • Grief and Loss Walking Group: Thursdays, April 16 – May 21. Join us every Thursday afternoon for 6 weeks, between 1-2pm. We meet outside of Alpine Cafe and walk the beautiful valley trail. This walking group is rain or shine; however, we will move inside the cafe to connect in the event of heavy rain or other adverse weather.

What You Will Receive

A supportive and confidential group environment that will support you in your grieving journey while having the opportunity to build connections with other community members experiencing similar loss. This group is led by a trained Sea to Sky Hospice Society volunteer and WCSS outreach worker. This is a group lead program rather than education-based.

how to register

This group is drop-in format, therefore no registration is necessary. We understand and recognize that each person grieves differently and therefore may not be able to attend every week.
