Who is it for?

Workplaces and individuals looking to enhance their knowledge of mental health challenges, local resources, and how to be a better support for those around you.

What sort of programs do we offer?

Wellness Workshops: 1 – 2 hours

Set your workplace up for success, whether your employees are local or new to town! We offer a snapshot of local resources for mental health and wellness, self care, boundary setting, and education about WCSS wellness and financial aid programs.

We provide info about allyship, harm reduction, crisis intervention and an introduction to mental health challenges so you can learn to support those around you!

Harm Reduction Training: 30 minutes (individual or small group) – 1 hour (large group)

Learn about support services and strategies for safer substance use to keep yourself and others safer from overdose! We offer FREE Naloxone (opioid overdose prevention) kits and training for groups or individuals.

Harm reduction training includes: info and supplies about safer smoking and injection kits, info and supplies about safer sex including consent, info and supplies about drug testing and take home drug testing strips. Choose the topics you’d like to discuss!

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA): 6 hour course

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Essentials is an introductory, evidence-based course developed by Opening Minds that builds practical skills to recognize when someone may be experiencing a mental health challenge or crisis, and how to respond with confidence, care, and appropriate support.

This course focuses on early recognition, supportive conversations, reducing stigma, and connecting people to help. Participants will learn how to approach someone they’re concerned about, listen without judgement, provide reassurance, and encourage professional or community support when needed, along with learning crucial skills around self-care.

The course is interactive, accessible, and suitable for anyone—no prior mental health training is required. It is especially valuable for community members, workplaces, frontline staff, volunteers, and anyone who supports others in their personal or professional life.
