If this sounds like you, then Re-Build-It is the place to go for all your building needs. With new inventory every day, you are bound to find a pre-loved item that is perfect for you.

At Re-Build-It, you can donate and purchase large used items like furniture, appliances, art, rugs, tools, sporting equipment, etc. We also have clothing so we can be your one-stop shop.

When you donate to or shop at our stores YOU are directly funding community programs, like our Food Bank, our Outreach services for mental and physical health, subsidized counselling access, financial assistance programs for kids to go to art classes, attend camp, play sports and MORE!

We do pickups ($50) and deliveries ($35) daily. Please call the shop to arrange this service at 604-932-1125 or let our staff know at checkout.

What we accept*

Appliances (working and less than 10 years old)
Art and Décor (including rugs)
Tools
Doors (solid) and Windows
Lumber, Trim, Plywood (nails removed and min. 4ft length)
Lamps
Sinks and Low Flush Toilets (less than 5 years old)
Paint (minimum half full, less than year old with label)
Gardening equipment
Bed frames
Building materials and hardware
Chairs
Tables, Bookcases, and Desks
Clothing and Linens (clean)
Flooring (packaged/bundled)
Mattresses and Box Springs (clean and untorn)
Sofas/ couches (including pullout), chairs
Sports Equipment

What we do not accept**

Any materials containing hazardous substances
Hollow or Bifold Doors
Houseware (cups, plates, cutlery, etc)
Inflatables (beds, pool toys, etc.)
Range Hoods
TV Stands
Baseboard Heaters
Baby Furniture (cribs, highchairs, changing tables, etc.)
Bath tubs
Mirrors (without frames)
Blinds (used)
Built-In Cabinets
Ceiling fans
Chandeliers, Fluorescent Tube Lighting, and Track Lighting
Dishwashers
Thermostats or Fire Alarms
Glass Top Tables
Games, Toys, and Books
Broken, Dirty, Peeling, or Ripped Furniture/Clothing
Gas Fireplaces and Stoves (Can be recycled at Regional Recycling)

*We have the right to refuse any donation due to items being overstocked

**In some cases we may make an exception to accept an otherwise unaccepted item, if the item is brand new with tags or original packaging.

Donations to our store make a huge difference in our community, helps to build Whistler’s circular economy, and diverts tonnes of waste from the landfill every week. Please donate items in clean, unsoiled, and in working order. DO NOT DUMP donations outside of the shop, please speak to a staff member for all donation drop-offs. Items that are dumped or in unacceptable condition upon examination become a financial burden for WCSS in the form of disposal fees.

Please bring all items in clean, unsoiled, and in working order with all hardware. Please be advised that our attendants have the right to refuse any donation due to items being overstocked or items that are in unacceptable condition upon examination which become a financial burden for WCSS in the form of disposal fees.
