Connect Whistler, connecting people TOGETHER is a week filled with fun, social activities designed to help everyone in our community get better acquainted with why you live here.

Throughout Connect Whistler week you will connect with key organizations, support systems and locals who love to work and live here.

Monday, November 4th:

Whistler Museum’s Walking Guided Tour
Time: 11am – 12pm
Location:
Tours begin at the Visitor Centre in Gateway Loop. 
Presented by the Whistler Museum On the Whistler Museum’s Valley of Dreams Walking Tour, you’ll uncover the fishing resort history of Alta Lake, tales behind the mountain development, and stories of Whistler’s journey to the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. The tour is approximately one hour long and led by long-time Whistler residents. Registration required.
Wonder Lab Open House
Time: 2pm – 4pm 
Location:
Whistler Public Library
The Wonder Lab is a flexible, technology-oriented community space providing facilities for entrepreneurs, video and music production, photography, audio recording and technology exploration. No registration required, drop-ins welcome.
Pizza Party
Time: 5pm – 7pm 
Location:
Maury Young Arts Centre, downstairs at LUNA 
 
Join us for a fun-filled evening of pizza, community connections, and awesome prizes! Whether you’re a long-time local or new to the community, this is the perfect chance to mingle, enjoy delicious food (first come, first served!), and win some fantastic giveaways. Registration is required, so be sure to secure your spot!
 
🎶 And that’s not all! Get ready to rock with Juan Man Show! Known for his engaging performances and his unique twist on karaoke—he calls it “Acoustioke”—Juan will serenade us with hits from the ages. Grab your friends, sing along, and let him kick off the party with some sweet guitar sounds

Tuesday, November 5th:

Whistler Museum’s Walking Guided Tour

Meadow Park Class: Low impact with Diana DeMan
Time: 1:30pm – 2:30pm 
Location: Meadow Park Sport Centre

The goal of this class is to increase strength, balance and coordination. Suitable for everyone including seniors and those returning to exercise from injury. First-come, first-served. Please sign in at the front desk when you arrive. 

Dodgeball
Time: 8pm – 10pm 
Location: Myrtle Philip Community Centre 

Presented by Late & Unique Nighttime Activities (LUNA), wear your shorts and headbands, it’s dodgeball time! Bring a team, a friend or come solo! Registration required.

Wednesday, November 6th:

WCSS Wellness Workshop & Luncheon
Time: 12pm – 2pm 
Location: WCSS, above the Re-Use-It 
Join us for a two-hour wellness workshop hosted by Whistler Community Services. This session will provide a valuable overview of local resources for mental health and wellness, including self-care tips and strategies for setting healthy boundaries and lunch! Learn about WCSS’s wellness and financial aid programs, and gain insights into allyship, common mental health challenges, harm reduction, and crisis intervention. This workshop is perfect for anyone looking to enhance their personal well-being and become more informed about community support. Registration required.

Service Provider Drop-In at the Library 
Time: 12pm – 5pm 
Location: Library Community Room
Visit the Library Community Room to connect with Whistler’s service providers, all in one place! We’ll have Whistler Pemberton Newcomer Services, Whistler Community Services Society, Migrant Worker Support Drop-In, Legal Advocacy, and Community Integration Services on-site. No registration required, drop-ins welcome.
Meadow Park Class: H.I.I.T (High Intensity Interval Training) with Marie-Anne Prevost 
Time: 4pm – 5pm 
Location: Meadow Park Sport Centre
A full body interval workout for all levels. This class incorporates body weight exercises and cardio interval training to get your body moving and your heart rate up. First-come, first-served. Please sign in at the front desk when you arrive. 
Backcountry Skiing and Avalanche Awareness Workshop
Time: 7pm – 9pm 
Location: Maury Young Arts Centre 
Presented by Mountain Skills Adventure Academy. Supported by the Friends of the Library, our most popular Connect Whistler event is back again this year! The amazing team at Mountain Skills Academy & Adventures will host a Backcountry Skiing & Avalanche Awareness presentation. If you’re new to Whistler and thinking about exploring the backcountry this winter, this session is a must! And, one lucky participant will walk away with a free AST 1 Course, courtesy of MSAA. Registration required.

Thursday, November 7th:

Join WCSS and Navio Immigration Inc. for a FREE WORKSHOP: Pathways to Permanent Residence in Canada
Time: 9:30am – 11am 
Location: WCSS, above the Re-Use-It
If you are an international student or foreign worker, looking for options on how to stay longer in Canada, and even become a permanent resident, this session is made exactly for you! We will talk about the most common immigration pathways, and current challenges. There will also be time for your questions. Learn about current immigration trends and set your direction toward permanent residence in Canada. Registration required.
Meadow Park Class: Strength & Stability with Lou Stevens
Time: 12pm – 1pm
Location: Meadow Park Sport Centre 
Spend a whole hour creating a stronger, more stable you. The class will go through a solid, function warm up before adding weights and working on both isolating muscles and full body combinations. First-come, first-served. Please sign in at the front desk when you arrive. 
Guided Museum Tour of the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre 
Time: 1pm – 2pm 
Location: Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre
Experience our signature tour, “What We Treasure”, delivered by Cultural Ambassadors who share their own stories and first-hand cultural experiences. Throughout this tour your group will view artifacts and hear stories that give an overview of the past and present way of life of the Squamish and Lil’wat peoples. Registration required. 
SLCC Curator Tour with Mixalhítsa7 Alison Pascal 
Time: 4pm – 5pm 
Location: Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre
Join Mixalhíts̓a7, Alison Pascal, Curator of the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre, for an exclusive tour of the SLCC’s permanent exhibit. You’ll learn about how and why the site was chosen for the Cultural Centre, how the two nations worked together to decide what to highlight inside, and upcoming changes informed by a recent cultural content review. Registration required.
Movie Night: ORIGIN

Squamish Bingo Queen Sativa the Diva is movin’ on up to Whistler for a night of FREE DRAG BINGO! Connect Whistler & Rainbow Connection are excited to join forces with local Drag Queen Sativa the Diva for a sexy, campy, FUN twist on a trailer park classic. This event will feature six rounds of nail-biting, edge-of-your-seat bingo, plus comedy and incredible drag performances by Sativa the Diva.
