Whistler’s first responders are once again stepping up in a big way, rallying our community as they launch their annual holiday toy and food drive. As they gear up to collect gifts and essentials for local families, we want to offer an early and very heartfelt thank you to these teams and to everyone who’s already preparing to give.

A special thank you goes to Cpl. Katrina Boehmer, whose leadership and heart continue to shape this community tradition. As she shared, “We are in our fifth year of hosting the Emergency Services Food and Toy Drive, and we are excited to once again support Whistler Community Services as they provide assistance to those who may struggle during what should be a season of celebration.”

Her words capture exactly why this drive matters so much.

This generosity will fuel our Holiday Helper program, helping ensure every household in Whistler feels supported and cared for during a time that can be especially tough for some. We’re incredibly grateful for the dedication of our first responders and for everyone who plans to contribute on December 3 in front of Fresh Street Market in Marketplace, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. You’re setting the tone for a kinder, brighter holiday season for our whole community.
