Funding will support food security, health care, mental-health programming, recreation, arts and community facilities across the corridor.
Whistler Community Services Society (WCSS) is very grateful to the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation staff and board for their long-time support and belief in the work that we do for the community. In the recent Spring granting cycle, WCSS received $100,000 to support outreach services and food security efforts.
Piqie Newsmagazine reported,
“The Whistler Blackcomb Foundation has awarded more than $500,000 in grants to non-profit organizations across the Sea to Sky corridor, with funding directed toward social services, health-care, mental health, recreation and arts and cultural programming.
The largest grant, $100,000, went to the Whistler Community Services Society to support outreach services and food security efforts. Per a release from the foundation, the programs are “frequently relied upon by working residents, families and children, and seniors on fixed incomes.”
