Please be advised that due to the extreme cold weather system Whistler and the province of BC are experiencing, Whistler Community Services Society, in conjunction with the Resort Municipality of Whistler, are operating a Warming Centre and Emergency Overnight Shelter for anyone without access to a warm place to stay. Both are located at the Whistler Public library at 4329 Main Street, Whistler and hours of operation are as follow:
Warming Centre hours are 9am to 5pm
Emergency Overnight Shelter hours are 5pm to 9am
Extreme cold weather services are available throughout the arctic outflow warning currently in place. . We will be monitoring forecasts regularly. Please share this with all staff and anyone visiting your establishment seeking a place to stay warm. By sharing this information far and wide TOGETHER we can ensure everyone in Whistler has a place to stay warm during this extreme weather.
